Just thinking about having to do meditation every day to achieve peacefulness. It sounds so difficult. It’s hard to find the time to sit and meditate. There is never that special space around to meditate. There are no quiet spaces in my house to meditate. The list goes on and on and on.
Changing one’s mindset about meditation.
(I can meditate anywhere or anytime at any minute. All I have to do is come to a short focus on 3 breaths and a calm a mind.)
You can meditate while during your every day whether its in exercise, studying, business, art, retail, construction, and or even doing the dishes.
Putting this into practice daily even if it’s for 3 seconds or 10 minutes. The more that you do it. Your brain will start training it to focus on the practice or skill.
We began meditating before even our first breath. After our fetus developed, we stayed in deep meditation for the rest of time while in the womb until we were birthed. We watch how some babies can be still for many hours. Nice calm peaceful quiet baby. Doesn’t that sound nice. Hey, parents? As we grew up we went farther away from stillness and quietness. Loud music, games, and movies from our Nintendo of VCR. Now we have the cellphone turned into our third hand. Many of us forget about cutting it all offend just sitting being quiet and still. The simple idea of meditation is to breathe in and breathe out only focusing on your breath. That’s it. Seems so easy doesn’t, it? Lol.
I challenge you to only focus on your breath in and out your nose for a minute each time. Do this 3 times a day for a week. Tell us how you feel?
The best way to achieve a healthy lifestyle is to be a practitioner of many healing modalities. That basically means just do them. Practicing to focus is a strong tool for self-healing and our mental state. Whether if it’s, sitting in quiet stillness, doing the dishes, or doing primal Tai Chi moves in the park.
To me, basic meditation is when we focus on 1 thing.
Stop and take 1 breath in and out. feel your cool breath in and warm breath leaving out your nose.
Congrats, you just meditated. You just brought more value to your healthy life. Now just start to make the be a new habit.
No one here is saying you have to go hide out and meditate. Yes, it has many benefits to get lost in the jungle and find yourself but the idea of just focusing on simply your own free breath. Just slowing the speed or timing down while breathing less. Mental focusing on being grateful whether it be 2 seconds or 40 days in the desert meditating. We are our own healers.
